The Energy Delta Convention (EDC) is a high-level energy platform with a unique interdisciplinary platform for senior business, science and government experts. This year we will celebrate the first lustrum of EDC, which will be even more interesting than previous years. This year the EDC hosts four different conferences to provide two full days of lectures, discussions, and workshops, on major topics in the field of energy transition:
Gas meets Electric, International Electric Car Conference, 14th International Stirling Engine Conference, and Technology Transfer in the international climate change framework.

On top of these conferences, the EDC includes a number of high level plenary events: keynotes, forums, dinners, and networking lunches. The EDC2009 will be concluded by a speech of Mr. Gerhard Schröder, former German Chancellor, now chairman of the Nord Stream Consortium. Also there will be a number of side events, with amongst others a special interest for young energy professionals and students.

Beside Mr. Gerhard Schröder, other confirmed keynotes are:
• Tony Meggs, Senior Member of the MIT Energy Initiative
• Peter Kalaš, former Minister Czech Republic, advisor to the PM
• Roelf Venhuizen, CEO Shell Exploration and Production Europe
• Pier Nabuurs, CEO KEMA and chairman EU Platform Smartgrids
• Uffe Ellemann-Jensen, former Minister Denmark, chairman Baltic Development Forum
