The current scenario in the power sector has been undergoing continual developments in generation, transmission and utilization. With the existing voluminous size of network, together with the rapid growth in supply
and demand, the conventional approach has proved ineffective and there exists need for advanced computational and planning methodologies.

The main objective of this program is to enhance the knowledge of the participants in the modern trends in Power System Analysis through simulation techniques and control and is intended to benefit the faculty of Electrical Engineering Department of engineering institutions and practicing engineers in power sector.
approved technical institutions, Research scholars and the persons working in R & D organizations.

The other objectives are
*To provide a foundation that allows power systems to be created quickly.
*To enable design engineers to test the safety and integrity of their design concepts.
*To allow design engineers to create repository of proven design elements that can be reused in future projects.
This seminar provides an opportunity to the faculty members of engineering colleges and practicing engineers to interact actively with the experts dealing with recent advances and developments in power systems both from
industry and academia

The lectures will be in the following areas :
Computer aided power system simulation and case studies.
Power system over voltages and mitigation techniques.
 Power quality and harmonic analysis.
Power system protection and new trends.
