PAMRO continues to provide leadership, expertise, global perspectives and methodological advancements when the continent's leading media researchers, media practitioners and media specialists converge at their annual conference. This yearâ€™s conference theme is "Fast Changing Media Landscape - where does Africa stand?â€ Media across Africa is now every bit as competitive and dynamic as it is in the rest of the world. As researchers and media practitioners the challenges are therefore the same - how to be innovative and creative in researching this exciting market
This yearâ€™s conference will contain some very interesting topics such as digital media, technology and innovation in youth audience research, advancements in audience measurement, impact of vernacular media in Africa, word of mouth media among others with speakers from within and outside Africa. For the first time, in addition to sharing knowledge and learning in the traditional conference presentation formats we have introduced a number of subject specific master classes for a more interactive and dynamic experience in form of a half day workshop on day three of the conference.
This two day conference is aimed at; Media and Market Research Organizations, Marketers, Media & Broadcasting Practitioners, Social Communicators/NGOs, Advertising Agencies, Policy-makers, Government departments dealing with media, Academics active in media research, Organizations involved in developing media for social and political advancement with market and audience intelligence, among others.
There will also be an exhibition running alongside the conference, this expo will provide a platform for companies supplying products and solutions to the media, advertising agencies and media research organization among others to showcase their products to the more than 200 conference participants who make their core clientele.
