In the past decades, human has borne witness to the changes that has and will reshape the contours of future business environment. There is an increasing recognition that human activities are one of the major causes of climate change and already there are signs that these have impeded future business earnings. The situation is further aggravated by the collapse of financial markets across America, major European and Asian cities in 2008; food crisis, terrorism acts and the political and military conflicts which affected the use of strategic resources such as oil and gas. All of these will have impacts on how businesses are managed in the near future and most importantly the sustainability of the environment and human lives.
This conference is timely to serve as a high-impact forum and platform to disseminate crucial research findings associated with sustainable business development to be used by businesses, industries, policy makers, academics, researchers and institutions of higher learning. It aims to foster inspirations and to provide innovative ideas to all regional and international participants from both academic and industry backgrounds who are serious in answering the call of sustainability challenges and who knows that: sustainability matters.
