Institutional leaders are frequently called on to speak to the media regarding critical campus issues though most are not trained to work with the press. A negative story can mushroom quickly from a local to a national level if not handled quickly and effectively. And a good news story can get missed altogether if the information is not handled strategically.
This online workshop will help participants understand how to respond to the press proactively and strategically in the event of a campus crisis, major policy announcement, or in an effort to communicate statistical information and good news events.
Who Should Attend:
Senior campus officials from all departments (enrollment, academics, student affairs, athletics) who are asked to respond to media inquiries. Media directors responsible for training campus leaders may also find this webcast useful.
