“Millennium International Healthcare & Ayurveda Convention-2009” organized by the World Water Advocate and the Associates of Global City news, the alliance member of UNESCO. Endorsed by World Association of Ayurveda (WAA). The aim of the Convention is to provide a platform for mutual understanding and discussions among growers, marketing personal, pharmaceutical manufacturer, scientists and medical practitioners regarding various aspects for the better utilization of Ayurvedic resources in health care. The Convention is expected to be attended by several experts from reputed research and academic institutions, eminent physicians, traditional medical practitioners, NGOs, manufacturer & exporters of herbal products, members from the corporate sector and marketing consultants from all over globe.
Ras Al Khaimah, the Southern part of the Persian Gulf is one of the emirates of the United Arab Emirates. It is well connected to Dubai and Sharjah. One can easily reach the city within 45 minutes from Dubai. During the month of October, the temperature ranges 19 - 38°C.
The themes of the MIHAC'09 include, but not limited to, the following
1. Evidence Based Ayurveda - Global Evidence for Local Decisions.
2. Ayurvedic Treatment in Flu in General and Swine Flu in Specific.
3. Role of Spirituality, Yoga and Meditation in Ayurveda.
4. Advanced Clinical Research: Clinical Trials and Surgical practices in Ayurveda.
5. Information Technology / Biotechnology in Ayurveda.
6. Disease Specific Ayurvedic Treatments: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Cancers, HIV/AIDS, Cardiac Disorders, Diabetes Mellitus, Osteoarthritis, Prostate Diseases, Parkinson’s Disease and other Chronic Disorders.
7. Ayurveda from Public Health Perspective and Investment Opportunities.
8. Pharmaceutical Science in Ayurveda.
9. Recent Advancements in Ayurveda and Future Vision.
10. Ayurveda for Comprehensive Healthcare.
11. Drug development and Manufacturing, Quality control and Marketing.
12. Safety & efficacy of Ayurvedic Medicine.
13. Ayurveda and Dentistry.
14. Patents & Intellectual property right (IPR)
15. Preventive, Curative and Promotive aspects in Ayurveda.
16. Cultivation, Conservation & Processing of Medicinal plants.
17. Pharmacogenomics & Ayugenomics.
18. Ayurveda in Cosmetics and Neutraceuticals.
The programmes will comprise plenary lectures by invited speakers and oral/ poster/ video presentations, practical demonstrations and exhibitions. The official language of the seminar will be English.

The participants are invited to submit abstracts of original contribution for presentation during the convention. (The abstract can be sent to e-mail: The abstracts will be evaluated on the basis of their scientific merit by the experts in the concerned fields and if found suitable will be accepted for oral/poster/video presentation / practical demonstrations (Traditional treatments, Yoga, Herbal beautification, Herbal health drinks and Herbal healing).
The abstract should include Title (in capital letters); Author(s) name(s) (with presenter’s name underlined) and institutional address. The abstract typed in double space should be as informative as possible and should not exceed more than 300 words. The abstract in duplicate along with the duly filled-in registration form should reach the International Convener (e-mail: by 20th August 2009.
Notification of accepted papers will be communicated to the presenting authors and listed in our web page (web: Efforts will be made to publish the convention proceedings. An electronic copy of the Full-length paper should be submitted as per the Current Science journal format. Authors are advised to note that only those papers which are submitted prior to presentation will be considered for publication in the proceedings.
The following exhibitions will be organized during the Convention. Medicinal plants Exhibition: Display of various medicinal plants. Trade information on herbal products for the promotion of exports. Display of Medical and Scientific equipment and literature. Those who wish to exhibit their products must contact AIPCE convention secretariat: Kathy Scott, well in advance for allotment of stalls on first come first basis.

The following awards are proposed to honour distinguished Scientists, Teachers, Herbalists, Herbal Medical Practitioners, Manufacturers, Medicinal Plant Conservators and Farmers. 1) Merit of Excellence Award 2) Ayurvedic Physician of the Millennium Award 3) Vaidya Vidwan Award (The Best Physician) 4) Talented Scientist Award 5) Talented Medical Practitioner Award 6) Talented conservator Award 7) Outstanding Cultivator Award; 8) Outstanding Herbal Medical Formulator/promoter award 9) Best Woman Entrepreneur Award 10) The Best Exhibitor Award; 11) The Best Ayurvedic Spa and 12) Young Scientist Award (Age below 40).
Nominations for all the above awards should be sent in prescribed forms on or before 20th September-2009 along with adjudicating fee, a brief curriculum vitae and an article about (1,000-word ) their research contributions for the development of medicinal plants and herbal products.Best Presentation Award will be given to the delegates for the best paper & poster presentation in the international seminar on the recommendations of the adjudicating committee.
Participants are requested to register for the Convention by sending the filled-in registration form along with prescribed fee on or before 20th August 2009. All accompanying persons must register (Adults 75% & for children below 12 years 50% of the registration fee will be charged) and the registration fee will cover local hospitality and convention stationery.
In view of the paucity of funds the delegates are advised to make their own arrangements for travel. However, partial support to a limited number may be considered.
