The seminar will address pertinent issues and challenges of PMS in various institutions of higher learning. The objectives are:
i) To create a platform for presenting and pondering over various PMS practices in higher education.
ii) To encourage presentation of research studies on PMS in educational institutions that generates new ideas of PMS.
iii) To encourage successful case presentations and discussions on PMS from academic institutions of higher learning.
The seminar topic has following sub-themes on which articles are invited and in these two days seminar, various aspects of the sub-theme shall be discussed along with paper presentation.
a. PMS in Universities/Departments
b. PMS in Technical Institutions
c. PMS in Business Schools
d. PMS in autonomous and affiliated colleges
e. PMS in training and research institutions
IV. Who can Participate ?
The Administrators and academicians of different colleges, universities, Training, consulting and research institutions, B-Schools, working in PMS area and related spheres can participate in the seminar.
V. Call for Papers
Papers/research based articles in any of the sub-themes are invited from academicians, scholars, researchers, administrators. Case studies, high quality Research Articles and innovative practice models on performance management system are solicited. Each paper should not exceed 5000 words with an abstract of 100 words should be sent before 20th September 2009.
VI. Paper Presentation
The participants will present their papers in the seminar in six technical sessions spread over two days. Each contributor shall be provided standard time for presentation followed by question and answer hour. All the necessary technical support shall be provided by the organizers during the presentation.
VII. Best Paper Award
The best paper in each area shall be awarded-
a. Best Case Study Award
b. Best Research Article
c. Best Practice Model
VIII. Panel discussion
Experts in performance management in educational institutions shall hold the discussions and encourage participants to have better ideas about designing, deploying and evaluating PMS in their organizations.
IX. Registration Fees
Each participant is required to register on or before 10th November, 2009 to participate in the seminar by paying Rs. 1000/- Demand Draft in favour of Siva Sivani Institute of Management, Payable at Secunderabad. Registration fee can be sent along with the full paper with in the date specified.
Modest accommodation shall be provided on the campus at additional fees of Rs. 500/- per day. Accommodation can also be arranged, on request, at Hotel Basera (which is nearest to the college) on additional charges.
