Event Date/Time: Oct 15, 2009
This half day course offers oil and gas operators and their EPCM contractors the chance to learn how to incorporate good acoustic design into their existing and new facilities. Many practical innovations are offered along with budgetary estimates for designing to the new ERCB Noise Control Directive D38. The combination of Process and Acoustical design at project commencement is promoted to ensure that the design best utilizes practices beneficial to both aspects of facility engineering.
· Introduction to the ERCB Noise Control Directive D 38.
· The noise producers and how to control them.
· OHSA considerations and hearing loss prevention.
· Sound propagation from plant to neighbours.
· How to combine Process Design with Environmental Acoustics at the outset.
