The Symposium will highlight disease mechanisms and pathophysiology, the diagnosis, evaluation, and medical management of the patient with PH.
Expert speakers will present the recent advances in the context of challenges faced by physicians and other health care providers caring for these patients. Practical aspects of patient management will be covered using a case-based discussion format.
The Summit is intended for physicians, physician assistants, and nurses with an interest in pulmonary disorders, rheumatologic diseases, cardiovascular diseases. The case-based and practical approach of the sessions will also make this extremely relevant for internal medicine and primary care physicians.
Patients who suffer from pulmonary hypertension will find the didactic sessions to be informative. There will be patient-focused question and answer sessions about issues relevant to the concerns of PH patients such as dietary restrictions, travel, and medication management. These sessions will offer ample opportunity to clarify issues regarding patient care.
