This is to announce the 2009 Stepping Stones to Excellence in Wound Care Conference, which will be held Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

The world of wound care has become a vast ocean not easily navigated by the average clinician. The exponential rise of knowledge provided by new research has led to the advancement of the profession, the development of new products, and the complexity of practice. This wave of information continues to build, and threatens to leave the complacent behind. Health care providers must continuously update their scope of practice to find their way through the dense new waters of regulatory requirements, products, and best practice recommendations.

This conference will feature Laura Edsberg, PhD, president of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, and Laurie McNichol, MSN, RN, GNP, CWOCN, a nationally known speaker in wound ostmomy and continence care nursing for the past 20 years. This conference serves to provide nurses, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, physicians and other members of the healthcare team with the necessary stepping stones to enhance their practice. Advances in the realm of wound and ostomy care will be highlighted. We invite you to allow this conference to help improve your patient's outcomes.

If you have any questions about the Conference, please contact us at We encourage you to pass the eBrochure on to interested colleagues -- and we hope to see you on September 25, 2009!
