After ISVEE12 in Durban, South Africa, ISVEE is coming to the European continent again.
ISVEE13 will be held in Maastricht, The Netherlands, August 20-24, 2012.
The congress venue is the Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre (MECC). MAASTRICHT is located in the most southern part of the Netherlands. With a history stretching back some 2000 years, the Romans, Spaniards, French and Germans have all left their mark in Maastricht. Its situation at a crossroads of European cultures lends it an unique charm. Thanks to its close borders to Belgium, Germany and France, Maastricht is easy to reach by car, train or plane.
Intercity trains connect Maastricht with International Airports in close vicinity (Amsterdam, Brussels, Dusseldorf).

Ghent University will host the pre- and post conference workshops.
GHENT is the capital and biggest city of the East Flanders province of Belgium. In the Middle Ages, it became one of the largest and richest cities of northern Europe, which is still reflected in the city's medieval architecture. Ghent is a historic city, yet at the same time a contemporary one. The modern daily life of the city's active inhabitants plays itself out against a gorgeous historical backdrop. The city is alive and bids you welcome.
Intercity trains connect Maastricht or Brussels Airport with Ghent.

In line with the motto of ISVEE13 "building bridges, crossing borders" the scientific program will put emphasis on the link between veterinary epidemiology and animal health economics and the many biological and sociological disciplines that surround us. By means of this focus, the conference will enhance interaction, communication and complementaries between the different disciplines. Besides this, also the traditional topics of the ISVEE conferences will receive ample attention.
