The National MultiCultural Institute (NMCI) with FutureWork Institute (FWI) would like to invite you to its Fall 2009 Conference – Forging New Pathways for Diversity and Inclusion: Building Skills for Collaboration and Dialogue. This year’s conference will engage, excite, and encourage you to become a cultural ally in your workplace and community.

NMCI will provide you with the necessary tools to increase your cultural competency and share your knowledge with others. The conference includes:

Emerging Issues Forum to convene leaders from different sectors and areas of expertise, to engage in thoughtful dialogue on controversial diversity and equity issues, and to elicit concrete strategies for successfully overcoming challenges in the field. This exciting forum will include keypad technology, Interactive Theatre, a World Cafe dialogue symposium, and strategies to implement dialogue into action.

Diversity Dialogue Series to provide participants with an opportunity to build and practice skills for effective dialogues around difficult diversity issues. This series will address issues of religion and GLBT, race and ethnicity, generational, and microinequities at work.

Diversity Leadership Institute to provide professionals with the skills they need to effectively manage and lead diverse organizations, build internal capacity for inclusive workplace practices, and drive organizational culture change. Programs offered include Building Cultural Capabilities for an Inclusive Workplace, Training of Trainers I: Facilitating Diversity Awareness Workshops, Training of Trainers II: Training for Cultural Competence - Beyond the Basics, and Implementing Organizational Culture Change for Diversity & Inclusion.

We need your voice! Share with other leaders from different sectors the challenges you face and your success stories in the diversity and inclusion movement!
