| Description |
SAE is hosting a new symposium -- Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADSB) Symposium. ADS-B represents the next generation of air traffic control and offers improved situational awareness for both pilots and air traffic controllers. It is a crucial component of the nation's Next-Generation Air Traffic Management System.
ADS-B will trigger changes in global air traffic management on a scale surpassing even that which was seen during the introduction of Radar, more than fifty years ago. The symposium will focus on how users can quickly adapt to, and then derive a significant benefit from, this new generation of satellite intensive Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems. The symposium will provide up to date development/engineering information related to ADS-B and its companion technologies.
