TODAYS CAREGIVER MAGAZINE BRINGS FEARLESS CAREGIVER CONFERENCE TO CENTRAL COAST OCTOBER 28
With more than 52 million Americans providing care to family and friends, the act of caregiving is fast becoming a national epidemic. To provide resources and support to Central Coast caregivers, Today’s Caregiver magazine and caregiver.com will host a complementary “day of sharing wisdom” with the Fearless Caregiver Conference on October 28 from 9:30 – 2:30 pm, at the Earl Warren Showground in Santa Barbara. Cindy Laverty, local media personality and host of The Cindy Laverty Show on KZSB AM-1290, will provide the luncheon address.
Gary Barg, author of The Fearless Caregiver book and host of The Fearless Caregiver Conference states ” We have hosted 80 events over the past ten years across the nation and are excited to discover that the Central Coast has a tremendous radio program dedicated to family caregivers. We look forward to working with Cindy and the caregiving community to create an important day for caregivers.”
Regardless of the disease or illness with which their loved one is dealing, attendees will receive hands-on advice about their caregiving challenges, learn techniques for becoming a fearless member of their loved one’s care team, and learn survival strategies for beating stress, depression and other challenges faced by caregivers.
