The Scottish Branch of ACAMH is delighted to host this interesting day which will provide
an overview of the challenges of working with children and young people who have a
learning disability, additional mental health problems and challenging behaviours. An
overview will be provided of the assessment process carried out by mental health
professionals as well as a summary of some of the interventions offered and their work with
other agencies. The day will be of interest to all working with children and young
people with learning difficulties in health, education, social work and the voluntary sector.
