Venice Summer School on Science and Religion (VSSR)

The summer school intends to be a key venue to expand and deepen the work of scholars interested in the interface of two of humanityâ€™s most central approaches to the search for truth and meaning. Open to scholars seeking enhanced engagement with central topics in science and religion.
The theme for the 2010 summer school is â€œScience and Values.â€ The school will meet 25 May through 28 May 2010. Lecturers include: George Ellis, Keith Ward, and David Sloan Wilson. The organizing committee includes: Karl Giberson, Thomas Jay Oord, William Shea, and Donald Yerxa.
The Venice School on Science and Religion will award scholarships to participants whose proposals are chosen as most relevant for the schoolâ€™s discussion in a particular year. Interested individuals should submit materials when applying for admission to a summer session.
