International Conference on “Eurasian Steppes: status, threats and adaptation to climate change” is being held in association with Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism, Academy of Sciences of Mongolia, “Hustai National Park” Trust and Ecosystem Management Steering Committee of IUCN on 10-12 September, 2010.
This meeting is aimed to discuss urgent issues of climate change, its impacts on ecosystem and socio-economy in Central Asia and what approaches we can find in order to adapt to incoming changes.
General subject:
“Climate change and its impact on ecosystem and socio-economy”
Sub-topics:
- Climate change in Central Asia
- Climate change and biodiversities
- Management of SPA in the changing conditions
- Issues of landscape degradation
Official language: English
The presentations must be in English and sent via e-mail and post before 1. July 2010 due to be compiled and distributed at the meeting. The presentations must be written in Times New Roman, the font size of 11 and paper size А4.
Payment for Conference:
Each participant 250 US$
This payment includes the expenses of transportation from Chinggis Khaan airport in Ulaanbaatar to Hustai, vice versa, from Hustai to Chingis Khaan airport, accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner and national park tour during your stay at Hustai National Park on 9-12 September 2010.
The payment must be sent to the following bank account before June 01, 2010.
