Description

The International Seminar on Elastomers (ISE) was initiated in the late 1970s as a U.S.-Japan Seminar on Elastomers organized by Professor M. Morton and Professor N. Yamazaki. The Seminar was regularly held ever since by active and well-known researchers in the elastomer field such as Professors J. Furukawa, J.L. White, K. Murakami, T. Nishi and Y. Tanaka and became truly an international seminar at the 4th ISE in 1990 when participants from 7 nations attended. Subsequently, the ISE has been continuously organized approximately every two years and has developed into a respectable international forum for rubber science and technology.

The 11th ISE was organized by Professors R.H. Schuster (DIK) and F. Katzensteiner (DKG) in Freiburg, Germany in 2007.The 12th ISE will take place in Cha-am,Thailand during 8 -11 March 2010 and participants from Brazil, France, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand are expected to attend. You are warmly invited to participate in the 12th ISE in Thailand where you will have an opportunity not only to meet with your peers from around the world and learn about new development in rubber science and technology, but you will be provided with a unique opportunity to visit rubber plantation, rubber processing factory and rubber products manufacturers in Thailand, the world’s number one producer and exporter of natural rubber.
