The City of Pelotas, located in the southern region of Brazil, is going to be the host of the 2nd International Rice Business Round, in May 2010. Rio Grande do Sul state, where Pelotas is Located, corresponds to 95% of the export rice production in Brazil and for 70% of the production of all the product which is consumed in the country. The first edition of the International Rice Business Round, that happened during the Expoarroz - International Exhibition in Pelotas - 2009, gathered participants of seven countries, besides the participation of the chambers of commerce and industry of Portugal, Germany, China, Middle East and thirty-six exporting industries.
