Dear Colleagues,
Institution of the Russian Academy of Sciences – Institute of Technical Chemistry of the Ural Division of the RAS - invites you to take part in the International Conference
"Technical Chemistry: From Theory to Praxis@.
The conference supported by Perm Region Administration and by the Russian Fund for Basic Research (Moscow) will be held on May 17-21, 2010 in the City of Perm, Russia.
Scientific Program
The aim of the conference is to give Russian and foreign researchers the opportunity to discuss latest achievements in solving problems of basic and applied research work in organic chemistry and in material sciences.
Sections of the conference:
1. Organic chemistry and heterogeneous processes
Subsection “Organic synthesis” includes divisions:
• Investigation of reactivity and of reaction mechanisms of organic synthesis;
• Structure and reactivity of heterocyclic compounds;
• Directed functionalization of natural compounds;
Subsection “Heterogeneous processes” includes division:
• Theory and praxis of heterogenic processes, incl. extraction and ion flotation, absorption and catalysis;
2. Polymers and Composites
The section includes divisions:
• Synthesis and investigation of structure and properties of polymers and of biopolymers;
• Nanosystems and composites.
The scientific program will include plenary presentations (30 min.), oral presentations (15 min.) and poster session. The conference languages are Russian and English.
Applying for the conference
Applying for the conference is effected via e-mail at itc-ras.perm@mail.ru or at itch-uro-ran@yandex.ru
Applicants are requested to submit the following information:
• full name;
• position, academic degree;
• research institution (or company) name;
• country, postal address;
• email;
• title of presentation;
• preferable mode of presentation (plenary, oral presentation, poster session, participation without presentation).
Deadline for submission of applications is February 1, 2010.
Submission of Papers
Papers must be typewritten, 1,5-spaced with 2,5 cm margins on both sides, size A4 in the Word format. The Times New Roman font is required, size – 14 pt. The scope of presentations is up to 5 pages including brief abstract, figures and references. Titles of presentations must be typed in capital letters followed by authors’ names with superscripted indices if authors belong to different institutions (lowercase letters); institutions and E-mail of the speaker (in italics) must be typed below authors’ names. The name and initials of the speaker must be underlined.
Papers are requested to be submitted electronically to the Organizing Committee at email address:
itch-uro-ran@yandex.ru . Papers submitted per fax will be rejected.
Deadline for submission of papers is March 1, 2010.
Manuscript Publication
Full texts of presentations will be published in Proceedings of the Conference; there will be also an electronic version on CDs available.
Venue and accommodation
The conference will be held in the Institute of Technical Chemistry (Academician Korolev St., 3, Perm). Single rooms (2300 rubles/day) and double rooms (1500 rubles/day per person) will be booked at the URAL hotel located in the centre of Perm. Additional information on the City of Perm and URAL hotel you will find on http://www.gorodperm.ru and www.hotel-ural.com , respectively.
Registration fee
The registration fee amounts to 300 euro (to be transferred or paid in cash on site). The registration fee covers payment for the printing of Proceedings of the conference, information materials and CDs, for the rent of conference hall and transportation, for coffee breaks, meals and social events. Information on the transfer procedure will be advised additionally, in the 2nd Circular.
