On behalf of the scientific and the organizing committees, it is a great honor and pleasure for me to invite you and any professionals, who share our mutual interests in pediatric hematology and oncology ,to our Third Regional Congress ofCancer and Blood Disorders of Childhood, to be held in Amman –Jordan, from April the 14 -to -17th 2010.
This congress is brought to you by The Jordanian Society of Pediatric Oncology (JSPO) in collaboration with King Hussein Cancer Center and St Jude’s Children Research Center.
Our aim is to offer an opportunity for exchange of the latest information and expertise between pediatric oncologists nationally, regionally and internationally, in addition to providing a platform for collaboration and cooperation between different institutions, groups and countries.
The scientific program will include a wide variety of topics in pediatric hematology, oncology and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Advances and new strategies in the field will be addressed in different educational sessions and presentations of this congress, in addition to the special symposia; of note, is the pediatric oncology in the developing countries symposium.
We are privileged to have international key speakers and world’s experts in their field joining us, to shed the light on the latest advancements and risk adapted approaches in diagnosing and treating pediatric cancers. Furthermore, the congress encompasses a separate simultaneous nursing session and supportive care symposia, for the first time, and will address the needs of pediatric oncology from the nursing perspective.
Jordan is a unique spot to visit; it enjoys great weather, and a wonderful variety of historic attractions, particularly Petra-one of the world’s new seven wonders; not to mention the dead sea (the lowest point on earth). These and many other sites are worth visiting when coming to Jordan.
We hope this congress will be a time for sharing the knowledge and learning and an essential step in sustaining cooperation and networking. We wish your time in Jordan will be a memorable one, highlighted by meeting with old friends, making new ones and getting to know new colleagues.
On behalf of the organizing and scientific committees, I would like to welcome everyone to join us in Amman .We are looking forward to your contribution.
