About the Vanguard Security 2010 The Vanguard Security 2010 will be held April 19th through April 22nd at the Flamingo Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV.
Now in its 24th year, the Vanguard Security 2010 is one of the world’s premier RACF®, System Z®, and enterprise security conferences. It offers over 75 training sessions taught by more than 30 professionals - covering “how to" and "task-oriented" technical information using real world examples. CISM and CISSP certified professionals can earn up to 27 CPE credits.
Vanguard Security 2010 includes training on a wide range of skills and issues to help security administrators and senior IT management at government agencies quickly improve mainframe security, simplify administration processes and reporting, and meet the complex regulatory requirements of FISMA, NIST, other agency standards, and a multitude of state security and privacy laws.
Current tracks include basic to advanced RACF administration; governance, risk and compliance; crypto on System Z; and dedicated Vanguard product training. Due to growing demand, new classes are also being added to provide a deeper understanding of cyber security and assurance on the mainframe, along with the tools, resources, and techniques organizations can employ to better meet these requirements.
The Expo portion of the event provides a forum for information security professionals to meet and interact with industry leaders and software developers, and to explore the latest products and services available for enterprise security. It is also an opportunity for RACF security professionals to network with peers and interact with the IBM® developers who design and code RACF.
