But the matter is particularly pressing in an industry such as the Oil & Gas Pipelines. Many Pipelines are now over 20 years old, and even the best designed and maintained pipeline will become defective as it progresses through its design life. Some of them are often in remote locations with extreme environments, some of them are influenced by third-party activities. Therefore, regular and effective maintenance to the equipment and infrastructure is vital to the industry.
