| Description |
The conference main focus will be the cross-border insurance contract. The law governing the contract as well as the main issues arising before, during and after its conclusion will be analysed by experts on the field in the light of the recent developments in legislation and juris-prudence.
Further measures, directed to the more efficient protection of the policyholder and likely to significantly influence the insurance sector in the aftermath of the financial crisis, will be addressed:
- The discussed harmonisation of insurance guarantee schemes
- The Green Paper on consumer collective redress: possible impact in the insurance sector
- Legal insurance in the light of the Eschig case (C-199/08)
- Solvency II: after the adoption of the framework Directive
