Course Description
General radiologists must be aware of the changes and developments in all areas of radiology (both MRI and CT) including Abdominal, Thoracic, Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal and breast Imaging, in order to maintain certification and maximize patient care. It is imperative that radiologists stay up to-date on the latest imaging protocols. This program will address the most up-to-date imaging technologies in the evaluation of the brain/spine, body, breast and musculoskeletal systems, to improve diagnostic acumen and minimize additional testing. Lectures will emphasize image interpretation, differential diagnosis and pitfalls. Several important topics that will be covered include: Dual Energy MDCT, Mammography, Imaging the Airways, MSK MRI, Imaging of Head and Neck Cancer, Imaging of Seizure Disorders, Lung Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, and evaluation of incidental radiologic findings. The essentials presented in this program are meant to be integrated into the participants’ practices in an effort to improve their current knowledge, imaging skills and ultimately improve patient care.
