IDGA’s Social Media for Defense and Government 2010 is a unique forum on the embracement, implementation and utilization of new media platforms that meet the Government’s goals of transparency that allow for more efficient internal and external communication. As the public consistently develops their knowledge and use of various online tools for their personal, career and business development goals, DoD & Gov’t have made it their mission to reach the public via these new and emergent forms of media. The IDGA’s Social Media for Defense & Government will provide critical insight into existing technologies including Twitter and Facebook as well as advanced elements such as the government’s general information page, blogs, and closed social media suite.
