Organized by the MI Institute, the MI World Symposium aims to create a platform for international MI experts and practitioners to share their knowledge and experience with educators and practitioners in Asia.
The 2010 MI World Symposium is the first of many to come. Our key note presenter for each day is Dr. Howard Gardner, who will speak about MI theory as well as his current work, Good Work. Presenters will represent MI practices in Singapore, China, the U.S., India, and Europe and will share MI applications in diverse contexts, including early childhood, elementary, and secondary education; vocational education, school management, curriculum design, and professional development. Each of the two-day Symposia will address two strands: research and scholarship, and Multiple Intelligences in Practice.
For all international participants, both Beijing and Singapore are exciting cities to visit. More detailed information will be available on our website which will be updated periodically.
About the Organizer:
The Multiple Intelligences (MI) Institute is committed to the understanding and application of Multiple Intelligences Theory in educational settings, from pre-school through adult education. Through our online course and support channels, face to face professional development, consulting services, and curriculum and resource development offerings, we support programs and educators seeking to tap into this powerful theory and pedagogical framework to create and provide learner-centered, goal-driven applications of MI Theory in any learning context.
