Model European Union (MEU) 2009, April 25th to May 1st 2009, inside the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France.
The MEU is one of the most challenging simulations of the European Union that one might experience so far, in particular addressed to engaging young Europeans, a project bringing 120 of them together.
Through interactive non-formal education you will learn more about the EU, while exchanging with other young people from all over Europe! You will get to know the European political process and improve both your intercultural communication abilities and English skills.
To participate as a Member of Parliament, a member of the European Council, a lobbyist or a journalist, you will need to visit our website: www.meu2009.org
You are asked to fill out the application form and to write a short essay of up to 700 words on one of the two topics. Besides the application form, you will also find more information about the organizers, the accommodation, the possible expenditures to take part and the daily program of the Model European Union 2009.
From February 1st the submission for your application is possible, the deadline is March 7th 23:00 GMT+1, so start writing your application today!

Costs:
You will have to pay for the travel costs to and from Strasbourg and the participant fee of 100 Euro, which includes lodgings, breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee breaks, everyday transportation and tickets to the activities of the social program. All extras to this you will have to provide for.
