| Description |
The intention of this conference is to discuss the recent research
advancements made in the field of Plant Pathology. The conference
provides the gateway for the researchers and students to deliver
and discuss their research findings. The programme includes
invited and contributory lectures and posters on the following
themes:
Plant diseases and Diagnosis
Plant-microbe Interaction
Biological Control
Integrated Disease Management
Impact of Climate Change on Plant Diseases and their Control

Abstracts denoting the themes of the conference are invited for
presentation. Abstracts should not exceed more than 300 words typed in
MS word font size 12 in Times New Roman in single line space. The
presenting author should be indicated by an asterisk. A soft copy should
be sent by e-mail to the Organizing Secretary, APP -2010 on or before 20,
February 2010 (E-mail: secretary_app2010@yahoo.in)
Participants from Institutes/Universities/Colleges/ Industries, etc. are
requested to pay the required fees as per the details given below.
Research Scholars and Students : Rs. 500/-
Faculty Members/Scientists : Rs. 800/-
Industrial Representatives : Rs. 1000/-
Accompanying person : Rs. 300/-
The Registration fee can be paid in the form Demand Draft drawn in any
Nationalized bank in favour of “The Organizing Secretary, National
Conference on Advances in Plant Pathology” payable at Chennai
Participants are requested to make their own arrangement for stay.
However, accommodation will be made for outstation participants based on
their request and advance payment, depending on availability.
Tariff: Hostel/Guest house/Hotel accommodation ranges from Rs. 500 to
2500/- per day. Student accommodation may be made at Rs. 200/- per day.
One day tour/picnic to Mamallapuram (World Heritage Centre) is arranged
for the outstation participants on 13.03.2010. Transport will be arranged by
the organizers. Cost of entry tickets, lunch and refreshment will be borne by
the participants.
The Conference venue is located at Guindy Campus, University of Madras,
Chennai 600 025 between the Raj Bhavan and Adyar bus terminus. It is
around 12 km from Chennai Central Railway Station; 10 km from Egmore
Railway station and 7 km from Airport. Other landmarks include, opposite
to Gandhi Mandapam and nearer to Birla Planetarium.
