Description The IACCP 2010 Congress theme is Cultural Change: Meeting the Challenge. In the globalizing world of the 21st century, cultural change is a universal phenomenon, which is tackled by people differently, according to their cultural circumstances. What are the psychological processes associated with the fast movement of information, financial resources, material goods and people, across countries, and their impact on peoples and their cultures across the globe. Highlights of the congress will include an address by the Walter Lonner Distinguished Lecturer, Professor Laurence Harrison (Tufts); Keynote Speakers Professors David Matsumoto, Alan Fiske, Daphna Oyserman and Steven Heine; as well as State of the Art speakers, including Professor Shihui Han from Beijing University. The congress will bring together academics, researchers and practitioners from Australia and overseas and provide a unique insight into the work of psychologists working throughout Australia and overseas as well as profile the important role that psychology holds at the cutting edge of research and practice. Along with an exciting scientific program, social functions will offer the opportunity to network in a friendly and relaxed environment. Workshops are included in the congress registration fee will be conducted by all keynote speakers on 7 July 2010.
