| Description |
The Kwantlen Psychology Department and the Kwantlen Psychology Student Society are proud to host Connecting Minds 2010 - The North American Undergraduate Research Conference in psychology.
Connecting Minds 2010 will, as last year, showcase some of the best student research across North America. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about graduate school opportunities and how to write successful grant applications. Connect with us on Friday June 4th and Saturday June 5th at Kwantlen University's campus in Richmond, British Columbia.
This year, we are pleased to present a keynote lecture by Dr. Albert Bandura. Dr. Bandura is the past president of both the APA and the WPA. He is the winner of the APA’s Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award, the William James Award of the APS, and is currently the David Starr Jordan Professor of Social Sciences in Psychology at Stanford University. Dr. Bandura is without dispute one of the most influential psychologists of the 20th century, best known for his research in social and developmental psychology. His keynote lecture for Connecting Minds 2010 is titled, “Going Global with Social Cognitive Theory”.
