| Description |
The inaugural Australia's National Seamless Economy conference will analyse the fiscal outcomes of creating a more streamlined regulatory system among the states and territories through an analysis of the effect of regulation, Federalism and globalisation. Have your say in this debate by joining industry stakeholders to discuss what really matters.
Increased globalisation and economic integration has had a significant impact on the growth of the Australian economic market over the past decade. However, as it stands today, the regulatory governance system has not evolved to meet the changes and challenges of an increasingly globalised economy.
Barriers and policy fragmentation between the Federal and state governments has largely gone on unaddressed resulting in an economy that is subject to nine separate regulatory regimes. Increased economic capacity through the creation of a truly national, efficient, sustainable and inclusive economy supported by seamless regulation will enable increased capacity and movement within the Australian economy.
The National Seamless Economy conference program will look at the impact of policy developments and changes within the regulatory landscape from both a political and business perspective.
