1st Annual National Power Today 2010 conference focusing on T&D and Generation sector on 18 - 19 March 2010 at Hotel Intercontinental, Eros, New Delhi. This conference is an initiative to discuss and deliberate the challenges, emerging opportunities, available options and recent steps taken by central and state governments to achieve the power sector objectives.

The Theme of 1st Annual National Power Today 2010 conference is:

Theme of T&D conference - Best Practices in Transmission & Distribution - Delhi Experience: To reduce the T&D losses by adopting the best practices and success methodologies being practiced by Delhi State and other successful countries where the T&D losses are lowest in the world.

Theme of Generation conference - Power for All: The government of India has an ambition to provide power for all by 2012. This mission would require that our installed generation capacity should be at least 2,00,000 MW. We need to evaluate the available resources, technologies, finance, trained manpower, policies, legal framework and the level of our preparedness to achieve this mission.

The conference will also focus and deliberate through its different technical sessions on the Technology for Energy Efficiency, Transmission Network (Grids), Distribution Network, Power Finance, Optimal Power Generation for India: (Current Scenario, Demand & Opportunities), Renewable and Non Renewable Power Generation, Fuels for Power Generation, Financing of Power Projects – Issues, Challenges & Solution to attract FDI & Joint Ventures, Regulatory Reform & Policy Initiatives by the government
