Perspectives on the European Health Policies
Opportunities and Challenges for the Central European Countries
April 12th, 2010, Renaissance Hotel, Brussels
As member of the EU, Romania joined the common programs dedicated to protecting and promoting the health of European populations. For all European institutions, health is a priority.
A high level health protection can be achieved only through cooperation between member states, both at official and expert level.
The main purpose of the event is to implement EU common principles and values in the Romanian Healthcare system in order to improve the performance of the healthcare system and, furthermore, to touch a series of additional objectives such as to identify internal and external funding resources, discuss the role that business predictability and sustainability of healthcare market would play in allowing the industry to fully acknowledge its role as part of the healthcare solution (dialogue and stability). By this first edition we intend to establish the forum as a permanent healthcare think tank, with all stakeholders involvement, and identify themes and structures for follow up meetings in Romania.
The conference in Brussels organized by Tarus Media brings together at the table of discussions policy makers of the most important European institutions and also Romanian officials, politicians, members of the Government, Parliament (Health Committee, Industry Committee, etc), Ministry of Health, National House of Health Insurance, representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, private health insurance companies, consulting companies, hospital managers, patient associations, key opinion leaders in different therapeutic fields and chamber of doctors, etc.
