The 3rd Annual Academic Conference "Contemporary Problems in Management: Exploring the Boundaries of Management Science" invites electronic submissions of papers, which should be sent no later than September 1, 2010. Early submission: June 10, 2010. Participation in this event is free (no conference fee). Official languages will be Russian and English.
Aims and Scope of the Conference
In 2008 the Faculty of Management SU-HSE established this annual conference to embrace the scientific studies of management problems. In 2010 the idea to create an academic forum that attracts researchers dealing with contemporary management issues received support of HBR Russia.
The goal of the conference is to further encourage scientific research on management problems by bringing together scholars working in the field, and to maximize the amount and level of interaction among researchers at all stages of their career. All types of research approaches are welcome.
November 23, 2010 the 3rd Student Academic Conference "Contemporary Problems in Management: Exploring the Boundaries of Management Science" will take place. This is a special forum aimed to support young researchers in the field of management. The Program Committee will select participants who will be able to give oral presentations.
The main program of the conference for November 24-25, 2010 includes a Plenary Session and following tracks:

â€¢Inter-firm relationships and value chain coordination
â€¢Marketing management: New perspectives
â€¢Human resources management
â€¢Project management: Prospects and challenges
â€¢Management of non-profit organizations
â€¢Entrepreneurship: Meeting the global challenges of the XXI century
The application request should include the speaker's name, place of work and position, as well as the contact address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail and the title of the proposed report.
Paper abstracts should be submitted by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org in Word, RTF or PDF format, between 1 and 3 typewritten pages in length with spacing 1.5, and up to 7000 characters. The abstract should outline the topic, show the purpose and the type of research and include a description of the research project including whether the paper is theoretical or empirical, data sources and research method, as well as the key results and principle references. Authors should identify multiple keywords in their papers and indicate the track. Applications which do not contain the main theses of the paper or which are less than 1 page in length will not be accepted. The final decision as to which papers will be accepted as plenary or track presentations will be made as a result of the review process.
Authors may submit more than one paper, but only one can be accepted as first author. However this author can be co-author of other submitted papers.
Papers will be evaluated by Committee and authors will be notified of acceptance/rejection by September 30, 2010 (for early submission by June 30, 2010).
Full papers are limited to 10 typewritten pages in length with spacing 1.5, and up to 20000 characters (including tables and figures) excluding references. (Any paper exceeding the specified limit will not be included in the review process). Authors of the papers will be offered an opportunity to publish a full paper in the Proceedings of the 3rd Annual Academic Conference "Contemporary Problems in Management: Exploring the Boundaries of Management Science". Final versions of the full papers should be submitted prior to February 5, 2011. The decision on their publication in the conference papers will be made by the editorial board after review.
