The League for Innovation in the Community College is accepting proposals to present at the first annual STEMtech conference to be held October 31 - November 3, 2010, at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida.

STEMtech features timely tracks focused on STEM disciplines — science, technology, engineering, mathematics — in general education and workforce training. In addition, STEMtech continues the 25-year legacy of the League’s Conference on Information Technology as the place to explore the intelligent application of information technology in educational institutions.

STEM Tracks
• Health and Science: Innovations in health and science disciplines and related workforce development and career pathways.
• Energy, Environment, and Sustainability: Innovations in energy, environment, and sustainability and green disciplines, and their related workforce training and career pathways, as well as institutional efforts toward energy efficiency, environmental stewardship, and environmental sustainability.
• Mathematics, Engineering, and Architecture: Innovations in mathematics, engineering, and architecture and related workforce development and career pathways.
• Manufacturing, Industry, and Agriculture: Innovations in manufacturing, industry, and agriculture and related workforce development and career pathways.
• Technology, Multimedia, and Communication: Innovations in technology, multimedia, and telecommunication disciplines and related workforce development and career pathways.

Tech Tracks
• Technology Systems and Applications: Effective and innovative means for developing, funding, staffing, implementing, securing, and evaluating technology infrastructures.
• E-Learning Resources: Effective and innovative uses of technology to provide instruction, instructional resources, library resources, student services, and professional development resources and activities.
