The Current Trends in Gastrointestinal Malignancies regional symposia are a series of 1-day seminars designed to update practicing medical oncologists, gastroenterologists, nurses, and other clinicians on the broad advances that have been made in the prevention, early diagnosis, and therapy of gastrointestinal malignancies in recent years. This series will provide cutting-edge updates on the biology, diagnosis, and multidisciplinary management of cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, including data from recent international meetings. Controversies in the clinical management of these malignancies will be outlined, and changes in treatment paradigms will be reviewed. Investigational agents for gastrointestinal malignancies and relevant ongoing clinical trials will also be discussed in-depth. This interactive meeting will include both didactic sessions and case-based discussions with audience participation and responses from leading faculty that will cover all aspects of research and patient management.

This educational program is directed toward medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists and gastroenterologists interested in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies. Fellows, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, researchers, and other health care professionals interested in the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies are also invited to attend.
