Objectives of the seminar
The objective of this two days seminar on Human Rights abuse on aged people is intended:-
1, To create awareness as well as generate new ideas on this topic so that the college can plan out some interdisciplinary course in Masters in Social Work Department.
2, The seminar will expose the participants as well as scholars to the acute problems of elderly people who are often the victims of human rights abuse.
3, The seminar also aims at learning through mutual exchange of experiences, imparting new social concerns among public as well as some policy making regarding the elders.

Abstracts of research papers from any one themes shall be submitted Abstracts will be reviewed by an expert selection panel before notification of acceptance to the authors The selection panel consists of 3 experienced professors from the fields of education and human rights Preference will be given to papers based on empirical studies using scientific methodology Conceptual theme papers will be considered for presentation provided the ideas are original, creative and the panel is convinced that it will contribute to the seminar theme. Abstracts of 250 to 300 words should be mailed either as a hard copy through post or by email. Those who submit by email should receive a conformation reply within 24 hours to make sure their abstracts have reached Accepted papers will be given 15 minutes for presentation. Presentation should be compulsorily in PowerPoint 2007 Modified final abstracts together with the full papers should be given in the prescribed date in order to be published Only those who submit the full papers will be allowed to present in the forum.
