Liechtenstein Forum on Asset Protection to be Held June 10-11, 2010

LIECHTENSTEIN – (May 6, 2010) – The Government of Liechtenstein announced today that it will host the Liechtenstein Forum on Asset Protection June 10-11, 2010. Expected attendees include the heads of major international banks, European government officials, financial service providers, including tax and estate attorneys, accountants, trust companies, investment managers and advisors.
Key issues to be addressed at the first annual Liechtenstein Forum on Asset Protection relate to safe and legitimate strategies to protect assets against private threats from creditors, heirs, spouses and public threats from expropriation, sanctions and regimes. In addition, the group will analyze how to choose a jurisdiction to protect assets, creditors’ remedies when faced with asset protection, and how to design contractual systems to transfer endangered assets to safe countries under certain conditions.
The Minister of Justice of the Principality of Liechtenstein Mrs. Aurelia Frick will open the Forum. Keynote speakers include:
