Semantics for Business Process Management (SemBPM 2010)

to be held in conjunction with
the BPSC conference in Leipzig, Germany, on 29th September 2010.
The objective of the workshop is to create a forum for discussion between
researchers working on topics related to automation of Business Process
Management and it aims at answering the question how and to what extent
introduction of semantics can really provide the desired improvements.
TOPICS
Topics of interest include theoretical and/or empirical contributions
related to intersections of semantics, business processes, process
automation and management, services computing, and software engineering.
Topics include but are not restricted to:
* semantics for business processes
* semantics for adaptive discovery and enactment of services
* semantic web as an enabler of business processes implementation
* integrating applications at the semantic level
* utilizing knowledge embedded in business processes
* the process-centric computing paradigm
* management of full lifecycle of business processes
* evolution and adaptiveness of business processes
* service-oriented enterprise
* leveraging existing ‘as is’ processes and systems
* meta-modeling and executable business process specifications
* IT for better business agility
* the human aspect of business processes
* business process management and software development process
* business evaluation of semantic-based BPMSs
* semantic business process modeling
* adaptive and dynamic processes
* semantic web services and business processes
* non-functional properties in semantic BPM
IMPORTANT DATES
Deadline for submissions: June 20, 2010
Notification of acceptance: July 2, 2010
All final manuscript and author pre-registration due: July 9, 2010
SUBMISSION
Papers must represent original contributions. All submitted papers
will be reviewed by at least three program committee members.
All submissions must be formatted according to the LNI publication
guidelines and submitted in PDF format using the EasyChair Conference
Management System at http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sembpm2010
Accepted workshops' papers will be published, subject to a positive
recommendation by the BPSC Workshops Chair, in the proceedings with an
ISBN number as GI-Edition Lecture Notes in Informatics (LNI).
