Despite the prescriptive nature of FERPA, there are many elements within the legislation that require institutions to make campus-level decisions about the release of student information.

This webcast will clarify which FERPA elements are and are not subject to interpretation. For those elements that do require a campus-level decision, you will learn how to take campus culture into account while crafting clear FERPA policies.

Offices and individuals accessing, releasing, and providing security for education records, including student records/registrar, enrollment services, admissions, institutional technology, and other student services will learn about sample language for their FERPA policies.
