Description

Why do we need to understand the meaning of behavior? If we can determine the function of the behavior, then we can develop positive support plans and use some unique and advanced positive support strategies to change behavior. Thomas Willis, Ph.D. will provide an overview of a person-centered, multi-element model and explore positive programming and environmental change strategies for providing positive behavior supports for children, youth, and families coping with challenging behavior including reinforcement and motivational strategies to promote rapid behavior change. Caroline Dench will introduce attendees to the triadic model of training whereby Particular Case Training is used to to deliver a behavior support service utilizing the Multi-Element Positive Behavioral Support Model.
