Enterprise Europe Network South West and Enterprise Europe Network Wales are joining forces to hold an R&D funding information for the environmental sector event.
Hosted by the Welsh Assembly Government and GWE Business West, the event will provide an overview of upcoming collaborative R&D funding opportunities for the environmental sector. Attendees will be given advanced notification of call contents, details of support available from the Enterprise Europe Network and have the opportunity to meet the regional and national support teams. There will also be opportunities to network with potential project partners and discuss project ideas with experts during one-to-one sessions.

The event will cover funding opportunities within the following programmes;
• Eco-innovation - This initiative provides funding for organisations that have developed an environmental product, service, management practice or process which has a proven track record, yet is not fully marketed due to residual risk. This programme will fund projects in materials recycling, building & construction, food and drink and agreeing business and 'smart' purchasing.
• Environment FP7 - The next call is due to open at the end of July and will fund projects involving prediction of climate, ecological, earth and ocean systems changes, tools and technologies for monitoring, prevention and mitigation of environmental pressures and risks.
• The Technology Strategy Board Collaborative R&D Low Impact Buildings - Call will be opening soon which is looking to fund design for future climate and building performance evaluation.
• Eureka Eurostars - This funds European research and development projects which can address any technological area, but must have a civilian purpose and be aimed at the development of a new product, process or service.
The event will be of interest to businesses, academics and other interested parties working in the areas outlined above.
