Overview presentations and reviews will include accessible introductions to a variety of emerging topics, in addition to current research reports, and proposals for future exploration.

It is hoped that the resulting interdisciplinary interactions will heighten our recognition of opportunities for ion beam related science and technology to address some of the major global issues of our time, and enhance our abilities to do so in a fruitful and timely manner.

Session Topics for 2010 include:

- Overviews - Fundamental Phenomena
- Bio Materials - Patterning and Lithography
- Nano Engineering - New Instrumentation and Facilities
- Polymer Modification - Analysis and Imaging

Invited Speakers and Contributing Participants: In order to maintain an environment of direct personal discussion and exchange, attendance will be limited.

A Summary Report of the Institute will be assembled as a White Paper for publication by the Alabama A&M University Research Institute (AAMURI).
