The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers B.Tech degree course in Mechanical Engineering, 6 years integrated B.Tech program for Hearing Impaired, M.Tech degree courses in the following specializations viz., CAD/CAM, Energy Engineering and Automotive Systems Engineering and Ph.D program. The department has well equipped laboratories and has close interactions with the leading industries for research and development. The Mechanical Engineering department has made pioneering and definite contributions in the thrust areas of design, thermal, manufacturing, materials and energy. Many faculty development programs and workshops have been organized by the department in the above fields.
Science relevant to thermal energy and its conversion into practical application and associated problems at system as well as at global level are getting huge attention by researchers, industrialists, academicians and scholars. Every part of the world is looking very keenly the environment related issues.
