To continue the discussion and to seek real solutions on energy policy and wind development, we are pleased to announce the Midwest Wind Summit & Expo in Brookings, South Dakota from October 4-6, 2010 at the Swiftel Center. An expected audience of over 400 attendees from across the US and Canada will participate. The program will include leaders from the wind and solar industry, federal and state government, academia, trade groups, environmental leaders, and research centers to address the opportunities and urgency to develop more investment and expansion in wind, solar, transmission capabilities and a smart grid for the Midwest and the nation.

The three-day conference will host up to eight breakout sessions, each one focusing on a key segments of the market including community wind development, transmission solutions, supply chain expansion, siting issues, large wind technology, small wind applications, solar applications, state and federal policies, national and regional energy programs, net metering, Intellectual Property review, finance/investment and risk/liability issues.

“This conference is well positioned to bring together the new leaders in the industry and government that are working to solve our greatest challenges to establishing a renewable energy standard for the US and to address the continued risk to our air and water as we continue to rely on oil, gas and coal,” said Randy R. Stratton, Conference Co-Chairman. “We can solve these challenges with the private sector working with the government to fund research and development in wind, solar, bioenergy, smart grid and electric vehicles (EV). We must move forward now before we fall further behind the rest of the world.”

Join the leaders of the wind industry in Brookings, South Dakota….a city and a region known for innovation and entrepreneurship in the alternative energy industry.
