Economix is an annual international event designed for Asian students to compete, gather, and confer. This year economix events include competition, seminar, discussion, general lecture, and international students gathering. The topic of discussion is related to the issues of international economy in ASEAN countries and China ten years after the implementation of free trade area which has rapidly increased interdependence between states.

In addition to study and discuss about free trade in Asean countries and China, the 8th economix also provides a forum for Asian students to meet and gather to achieve a strengthened international relationship. For that purpose, the 8th economix holds an international gathering event series with a theme of “Cultural Heritage in the Spirits of Youth” a theme which is in line with the national tourism theme of 2010 “Marine and Heritage”.
