The region is seeing large investments in the procurement of new air platforms and the upgrading of existing legacy aircraft. This is essentially where Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) comes in. The newer aircraft need to be serviced with the newer maintenance procedures and concepts and a lot of the older aircraft also need to be maintained to keep them airworthy.
As technology improves, so do the maintenance solutions and capabilities afforded to air forces to keep their precious multi-million dollar aircraft in the air. Furthermore, there seems to be a consensus within Asian air forces that they need to improve on the maintenance of both their fighter and airlift fleets.
Military Aircraft MRO Asia will highlight the technological developments, strategies and design methods for improving aircraft airworthiness, maintenance and repair to enhance the effectiveness of aging platforms for many of the regional air forces.
You can expect presentations from an international panel of experts; discussing the improved maintenance procedures, emerging technologies to help maintenance units improve their overall MRO capabilities.
Senior officers from air force maintenance units understand that what is important to the MRO community is to:
Identify and implement new MRO standards and technologies for aging platforms
Look into affordable MRO operations and outsourcing for regional air forces
Gain best practice and lessons learned from experienced air forces
At this conference, you can expect Air Force maintenance units, Air Force Directorate of Aeronautical Engineering, Ministries of Defence, R&D institutions from:
US Pacific Air Forces
Don't miss this event because...
Military Aircraft MRO Asia will be covering topics on:
Service life extension for air frames
