A major new Conference designed by three partner organizations – the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) and the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC). The organizations share a common vision on international education and collectively have a strong presence in the Americas, representing 600 member institutions and several thousand individuals.
The concept is to establish a space within which all the countries of the Americas can gather to explore mutually important themes. A major focus is support to the development priorities of the developing countries within the Americas region, including projects and research collaboration that provides development assistance and generates sustainable partnerships between institutions of the North and South. At the same time, we will welcome participation from beyond the Western hemisphere, inviting cross-pollination of ideas, strategies, and institutions towards our overall objectives in internationalization.
