As regional accreditation and federal accountability demands increase, student services professionals are being called on to demonstrate their contributions to student learning and development. Student satisfaction measures offer an incomplete view of student affairs' contributions to student development and learning. A more comprehensive approach to assessing outcomes is crucial to effective student programming.

Join us for the Improving Student Affairs Assessment conference and learn to enhance your student affairs and services efforts through a comprehensive assessment plan. Participants will explore:

* A conceptual framework and common language for assessment
* How to revise learning outcomes to be more precise in their measurement
* An overview of evaluation methods and criteria
* Best practices for making decisions and promoting the results
* Communicating the outcomes and promoting collaborative decision-making

Senior student affairs officers will learn how to take their assessment effort to the next level. Using a hands-on institute format, this event will combine short segments of content followed by moderated working time. This conference is ideal for those at the intermediate stages of building a coordinated assessment effort, including those who have learning outcomes in place but might be struggling with measurement and using outcomes-based assessment results to interpret performance indicators.

Participants will join a team of other practitioners who are at a similar level of familiarity with assessment and have a faculty coach who will work with them throughout the event.
